Met officials said that conditions are favorable for the system to further advance into some parts of Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and north Rajasthan during next couple of days.

"Rain and thundershowers may occur at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till Friday and at a few places thereafter. Rain and thundershowers may occur at many places over Punjab till Thursday and decrease thereafter."
