Whistle podu time! Punekars groove to Sonu Nigam’s tunes

The city’s music lovers were in for a treat recently as noted singer Sonu Nigam took centre stage with an electrifying performance and disco moves. Captivating the crowd with his infectious energy, the singer performed hit songs like Chand Sifarish, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Bijuria, Mere Sapnon Ki Rani, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Suraj Hua Maddham and many more. And he surely got the crowd dancing, with some even getting down on their knees to sing along to the qawwalis. Himmat Sodhi, an Indore-based photographer, who made a trip to Pune, especially for the concert, said, “I have attended 10 or 11 concerts by him before and the experience is always delightfully different. He always brings something new to his concerts and adds a different energy which makes the experience unforgettable each time." While the night proved to be memorable for many thanks to Sonu’s nostalgic songs, he also paid tribute to the late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar by performing some of her popular tracks. Last but not least, we’re sure that his effortless moonwalk to the beats of Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean will live in our minds rent-free!
